Halloween is around the corner and pumpkins are for sale! I can't share how to properly pick a pumpkin. My guess is to get the one that catches your eye!
I carried mine a whole ten blocks. My back was killing me! My carving skills aren't the best, but I do know the more you scrape the easier it's going to carve.
With all the leftover pumpkin guts I knew I can make treats for the dogI always like to read different recipes and double check what's safe to eat. This is what I came up with...

PEANUT BUTTER PUMPKIN DOG TREATS
1/2 cup of chicken stock
1/3 fresh pumpkin
1/3 peanut butter
1 1/3 cup of flour
Preparation
Blend the peanut butter, pumpkin, stock into a nice creamy mixture. In a bowl combine with the flour. Make sure your surface has flour on it and keep on the side to work the dough with your hands (it can get sticky). You don't need to knead. Roll into a flat layer. Get your favorite cookie cutters and start shaping!
Everyone's oven is different. I've learned the hard way. I set mine to 350 Fahrenheit and baked for about 30-40 minutes until hard. I did flip them halfway. The goal is just not to have them gooey in the inside. Let them cool for about 10 minutes. The whole time your dog will be staring.

Treats were a success! Finished in a day and a half. They kept coming back. If my dogs approve, I hope yours, too!
Friendly Reminder: Avoid xylitol in peanut butter. TOXIC.
